One star is too many. Was trying to be cautious because of other reviews I've read here. so was pleased that initial contact was Daddy Kurt not Kurtis the Son. They showed up together for the estimate. Talked a good game. Daddy seems to know his stuff. Kurtis is along for the ride. Talked about all the great stuff they would do. Kurtis takes over after they leave - never hear from daddy again. The proposal for a week's work seems steep but they are doing a lot. The problem is the proposal is 2 pages of legalese and 3 lines of what they agree to do. I sent it back to sonny boy for more detail, including a plot plan of the gutters they're to install. Takes a couple of days but I feel like I caught the issue. I didn't. They talked about 6" gutters for an hour when here then had 5" gutters installed. I didn't catch that their EXTREMELY generic proposal didn't specify size. I didn't know there was option because NOTHING else was discussed. They said they'd be there one week but they didn't show up until the next week. Only 2 days worth of work so their "estimate" was greatly inflated. They made a very healthy profit off of me on this job. Cheated me fair and square. Hope they enjoy it because it can only happen once. I'd never call them again nor would I recommend them to anybody for anything. Too bad for daddy that sonny boy will drive the business into the ground. Repeat business is not in the cards when you treat customers so poorly. A real shame too. The workers did a fine job. Since a handshake is a sign of mutual respect between men, sonny boy just had to drive off pouting. They are not welcome on my property.
