Hurst Hardwoods has been selling and installing hardwood and laminate flooring, along with stair parts, since 1992. Along with the internet we have expanded our market to all 50 states and international sales. In addition to our own warehouse locations we ship directly from the mills and distributors providing our customers with reasonable and fast shipping. Hurst Hardwoods offers a complete line of hardwood Stair Treads. Please know that we can also provide any custom specification you might need. We offer these treads in at least 16 different species. Prefinished treads are also available. Single or Double returned treads are available for stair cases that are open on the left or right side and require finished ends. While the majority of our unfinished stair treads are in stock to ship right away, the prefinished treads may take up to 3 weeks. We are here to help you.

When receiving wood flooring the customer is to acclimate the floor to the environment. We recommend following the NWFA's guidelines for acclimation. Solid flooring generally takes 10 - 14 days to acclimate and then check and see if the moisture level of the floor is between 6% - 9%. That is the moisture level percent for most regions. For extreme dry or humid climates please refer to the NWFA Equilibrium Moisture Content Chart. Acclimate the floor to your conditions. When nailing down a floor to plywood the difference in moisture content between the plywood and the flooring is not to be more than 2%.

Your new Hardwood flooring will generally be easy to maintain. Just need to remember that water is the biggest enemy of hardwood floors. Your floors can warp, shift and lose their luster if you allow them to get wet repeatedly or for extended periods of time. The best way to avoid these problems is to wipe up spills immediately and never use a wet mop to clean the floors. Keep floors dirt free with a broom or vacuum and only use cleaning products that are safe for wood floors. You can also extend the life of your wood floors by placing rugs in high traffic areas.
