Early's Flooring Specialists & More was founded by John and Lorraine Early in 1966.
Early's Flooring Specialists & More was founded by John and Lorraine Early in October 1966. Business was conducted from the basement office of their home in Amissville. 2018 marked the store's 52nd anniversary. In the mid '60s only two furniture stores and one construction business provided carpet to the area and was mostly area rugs. Wall-to-wall installations were not introduced into this rural area because there were no trained installers. John, having 12 years experience ventured into business with his wife, Lorraine servicing Rappahannock, Fauquier and Culpeper counties where they grew up.

Our IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) certified technicians have been trained to safely and thoroughly clean all carpet, including wool. They are trained and equipped to clean your upholstery, even the delicate fabrics, either in your home or here in our shop. Carpet and fabric have fiber protection applied during manufacturing. Over time, with normal wear and cleaning, that protection can become minimal. We are able to re-apply fiber protection as well. We have tools in our arsenal that will allow us to remove many of those "impossible" stains (paint, grease, tar, red wine, kool-aid, etc.).
