Today's modern milling techniques provide the consumer with uniform, high quality cedar siding at prices competitive with imitations. There are many choices when it comes to siding. When selecting the type you prefer, it's a good idea to look at siding on existing homes to help determine which will best suit your project. The different sizes and grades of each type allow for many combinations and choices. LS Cedar provides virtually every type of cedar siding ever made. Our large inventory includes all standard patterns, and we custom manufacture many that are older and hard to find.

Cedar is an excellent choice for decking. Beautiful, decay-resistant, and easy to use, it will add value to any outdoor design. LS Cedar stocks an extensive array of western red cedar decking products. Varying widths and thicknesses, as well as different grades, offer many choices. When choosing, it is a good idea to consider the overall size of the deck, as well as the design characteristics of the project. Narrow dimensions work best for smaller jobs, and wider stock lends itself well to large areas and rustic designs.

Cedar is the obvious choice for all fencing needs. From every day vertical board designs to comprehensive exterior architecture, our fencing products are sought by builders from all over the U.S. and beyond. Most fences are constructed using 4x4 posts, horizontal 2x4 rails, and vertical boards spaced as desired. However, today's builders and architects have added such a wide variety of fence designs that just about anything goes. When you call LS Cedar for fencing, know that you are getting top quality, old growth material from the best mills in British Columbia.

Fascia is a very important visual component of exterior design. Often exposed to severe conditions, it must be of the highest quality in order to maintain its integrity. LS Cedar is well known by custom home builders and architects for carrying the finest fascia materials available. Standard lengths are 8-20 feet for tight knot and clear; finger-jointed stock is all 20 feet. Fascia is usually resawn on one face and smooth on the other with finished edges (S1S2E). We recommend using the resawn face for exterior applications, as it holds more coating, weathers better, and is easier to maintain.

What's new?

30 years ago today our entire lumber yard burned to the ground. Since then we have been blessed by a combination of employees and customers that are like family. I thank you all. We are thriving, even in these weird times.
