The Fencing Center

The coaching of fencing is a centuries old tradition. The Fencing Center's coaching program combines ancient wisdom with modern technology in a state of the art facility. We provide the ideal place to learn, practice, compete and socially enjoy the art and sport of fencing. TFC's fencers have participated at the Olympics and we regularly send fencers to the Junior Olympic Championships. Fencing is a smart sport, involving thinking, emotion management, and inner awareness. Our fencers gain admission to the best colleges in America, and we have sent them to Stanford, Harvard, MIT, Brown, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Yale, Cornell and Dartmouth, among others.

Founded in 1981 we are a non-profit club dedicated to developing the art and sport of fencing - at the local, regional, national and international levels. Since 1981 we have grown from a small location, to now one of the 10 largest clubs in North America. We are a three weapons club; with Epee, Saber and Foil. In addition we provide Cardio and Yoga classes for our students, members and parents. Our goal is to provide the best (plush), healthiest and safest fencing experience to our fencers. TFC's 15,500 square feet of space provides 16 Olympic size strips (17 meters long, 1.5 meters wide, with a full run-off at the ends) of which 11 are grounded.

We teach fun, combat, and winning; you learn life & team skills, emotional mastery and fencing. We are a non-profit club focused on students 8-18 years as well as vets. In the hands of a good teacher, the sport enables mastering some important skills of life. Fencing is cardio chess or physical chess. Fencing makes you fit, improves coordination, builds muscles and stamina, harnesses the inner competitive spirit, and develops the overall personality.
