W e advertise as the "Original" Hardwick Fence because Hank Hardwick started Hardwick Fence Company in Maine in 1965. In 1980, Hank moved to our historic city and opened Hardwick's Of St Augustine. After almost 10 years in business, he returned to New England. Hank's oldest son, Chuck, continued the Hardwick name in St Augustine as Chuck Hardwick Fence & Gates. After his unexpected passing, Chuck's business name was sold and that business closed in the late 2000's. Donna Sparks, originally from Alabama, met Hank in the residential construction industry in East Tennessee.

With 50+ years of experience in fencing, we understand the responsibility of installing commercial and industrial fence. We offer professional grade materials and products and all construction is completed by professional installers who are full-time employees of Hardwick Fence. We do NOT use subcontractors, therefore eliminating any risk of a mechanic's lien. Fully licensed and insured, we also meet all commercial engineering specifications and requirements. We work with all city, county, and state organizations as well as privately owned businesses in Northeast Florida.

At Hardwick Fence, we offer a full range of fence and gate installation, and fence and gate repair. We also offer gate operation device installation as well as repair and refurbishment for existing devices.
