Dog Watch of Litchfield County installed their Hidden Fence product at my home a couple of years ago and it was an excellent experience from beginning to end. Their product works really well and keeps my 130 lb. dog, Harley, safe in our yard! Every point of contact I’ve had has been professional, positive and conveys their love of animals. I met with Sue initially (this was the 3rd company that I was meeting with or “interviewing”). She explained the process, gave me pricing, answered my questions and didn’t try to get me to buy into her dog rearing philosophy which I actually encountered at one of the other companies that I interviewed. She was knowledgeable and her main concern was Harley’s safety. We were pretty sure of the package we wanted and she didn’t try to sell up.
They were not the cheapest quote I received but they were the best ALL around and their price was still extremely reasonable and it’s been worth every penny! I knew I would be hiring Dog Watch of Litchfield County before Sue even gave me the pricing. I could tell I would be getting a good product from good people with great customer service and it’s been that way all along. Once I signed on the dotted line they expedited the installation because I was adopting Harley in a week and needed the fence installed before his arrival. Their electricians who installed the fence were professional, efficient, friendly and unobtrusive. Next, Liz, the trainer contacted me and scheduled training which went really smoothly. Whether it was Liz’s skill or Harley’s smarts, he had it down at the first visit. They still came two more times and created diversions and different scenarios to test Harley. All this was done safely in case he was distracted but he passed with flying colors. The reason I’m writing this now is that the other day I dropped his collar in the driveway and ran over it with my car!
So I had another lovely encounter. Only the clasp broke and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they sell just replacement collars with the holes to fit the collar device so I didn’t have to buy a whole new set up. I rarely write reviews but I was reminded again of what a great company it is, and it’s worth taking the time because I really appreciated and continue to appreciate the service they provide their customers. Also, I had a negative encounter with the first company I interviewed (and who a friend had referred me to so I thought they’d be a shoe in) and this company was so completely different and easy to work with. Instructive, concise, efficient, kind, smart, professional are just some of the adjectives that come to mind. Thank you for your excellent service!
