Our club is our family, and our home away from home. Our coaches, led by Coach Greg Kaidanov, work to create a friendly environment where fencers of all ages and abilities can find success. Coach Greg Kaidanov learned his coaching techniques from working along side of his father, US Fencing Hall of Fame Coach Emik Kaidanov. The 2019 National Championship is the second in Coach Greg's coaching career. Just in time for the holidays we are offering private archery lessons with Coach Paul. Groups of 1 to 2 or 3 to 6 people can book a private lesson with Coach Paul on our archery range.
Whether you are an experienced competitive fencer, recreational fencer, or a beginner, Nova Fencing Club welcomes you. We refine and improve the skills of fencers who strive to compete at the highest national and international level, and we encourage and develop fencers of all ages and ability levels. We offer fencing instruction through classes, camps, and individual lessons. Nova Fencing Club promotes excellence, sportsmanship, and safety in a friendly environment. Nova Fencing Club is committed to introducing the sport of fencing to youth and adults.
What is a USFA website? USFA website is the direct link between US Fencing Association and the fencing population. Membership enrollment, membership information, current major national tournaments, regional and international schedules are listed. The site is not easy to navigate and USFA has done its darnedest to complicate the simplest things, but it is necessary to learn to use it and familiarize yourselves with it. If you have questions, feel free to ask Coach Greg. If he does not know, he knows who to ask to get an answer fairly quickly (by USFA standards).
Fencing has been a sport since the time of the ancient Egyptians. It has worldwide appeal, and everyone can participate in fencing equally. Our club values the diversity of our sport and the full participation of all genders. This is fundamental to what keeps our club and sport vibrant. Nova Fencing Club teaches good sportsmanship and fosters a feeling of acceptance. We strive to create a family feeling, where everyone is welcome, and where everyone follows the same rules of respect. We also teach how to compete, win and lose with grace and good sportsmanship.
