We are licensed professionals with degrees in Horticulture and Forestry from Oregon State, and 30 years experience providing high quality fertilization and pest control services. We will get your landscape in shape and keep it looking great! We serve the communities of Albany, Corvallis and Philomath, Oregon and are licensed and insured technicians.

I started a lawn, tree and shrub care service called Greenscape in Seattle in 1985. As the company grew, I found that all I was doing was managing other people. I missed the satisfaction of interacting with my customers and seeing the results of doing the work myself. I sold the business and moved back to Corvallis, where I had lived when I was in the horticulture program at Oregon State. I began Inavale Lawn & Tree in 1996. In 2014, my son, Jeff graduated from Oregon State. He expressed a desire to join me in the business.

Tree/Shrub care program includes insect and disease controls as well as balanced, time release fertilization for your valuable plantings. Above ground indications of insect infestations are the visible presence of insect bodies (aphids, scale), holes in the leaves (weevils ), yellowish leaves (spider mites, azalea lace bug), browning of the leaves (leaf miners)etc. In many cases the damage occurs below ground (root weevil larvae), at night (caterpillars) or inside the plant (borers) and the only symptoms are overall weakened or yellowish appearing plants.

Our perimeter pest control program provides an invisible barrier that prevents insect pests from entering your home. Insects migrate to and from your home seasonally, in search of food, water and shelter. We treat along the base of the foundation and other areas outside of your home, where insects may enter. When ants, spiders, earwigs and other pests cross the barrier, they track it back to their nest. This results in control of the entire population. The treatments are timed to provide season long protection.

Our lawn care program provides balanced fertilization, acidity correction and controls for European Crane Fly, Moss control and Broadleaved weed treatment. Our fertilizers contain a combination of slow and fast release products that vary with the season of the year and the needs of your individual landscape. Our slow release fertilizers contain a polymer coating that dissolve as moisture is available. This prevents fertilizer burn, even during the warmest parts of the summer. The other benefit of the coating is to provide a uniform distribution of nutrients throughout the application interval.

Core aeration is the process of mechanically removing plugs of soil and thatch from the lawn. We suggest aerating the lawn annually for the best results. The type of equipment used makes a difference in the results achieved. We own all of our own equipment and maintain it in top form. Several of our competitors use rental yard equipment. The difference in the quality of the job is evident in the form of deeper, cleaner plugs and a neater appearance to the lawn upon completion. Our programs are most effective when the treatments are performed on a regular basis.
