While termites play an important role in nature, when they invade your home, it's time to take action. Termites can destroy structural members such as floor joists, wall studs and flooring, rendering your house unsafe to live in. They can even eat paper off of sheetrock, or from books on a shelf. If a mass of flying insects suddenly appears in your house in the spring, you probably have a termite infestation.
