The mosquito control treatment works by applying an insecticide the mosquitoes avoid all over the yard. The treatment will not stain or smell (you won't know it is there) and lasts for about a month at a time. The product works because the mosquitoes won't land on things that have been treated. Treatments last for about a month and we can usually get through Milwaukee summers with 3 treatments. One in early June, the second right before the 4th of July and the third in early August. Different homes and different summers (lots of rain or little rain) may mean 4 sprays or just 2. I work on an individual basis with each home to make sure we are getting good, efficient control.
Season packages could include 6 treatments or just a couple. Some customers just use me for fertilizing and others for just weed control. Most customers use the 5 application package which I will amend at times depending on weather conditions and my experience in turf. Whenever possible I reduce the amount of pesticides applied to the lawn. I do this by spot-spraying weeds whenever I can and by encouraging healthy grass with high quality fertilizers. I offer a la carte treatments as well for people who need a one-time spray on the weeds or whose grass needs a quick boost of food.

We are beginning to spray for mosquitos and ticks this week. Things really ramp up the week before Memorial Day. Summer is coming.
Planning to get started on lawns this week. Wrapping up our winter deer sprays as well. See you soon!
We are patiently waiting out the wet lawns before resuming our lawn care applications. Looks like another lousy week.
The mosquitoes are back in force. We continue to fight them back. Contact DeerShield to get on the schedule.

We have already started spraying for mosquitoes and gnats. The bizarre spring of 2018 persists.
