Wild Goose Chase, Inc (WGC) was founded in 1998 by Susan Hagberg, who was managing commercial landscaping accounts in the Chicagoland's commercial real estate market. During this time Sue began to realize that there was a real need for Canada goose control services. As there were no options available locally for her landscape clients Sue took the initiative to research how to best manage Canada geese in an urban environment. Then, she implemented a business model that focused on providing safe and humane Canada goose control with the use of trained border collies to harass geese off properties.
Wild Goose Chase provides pest bird control services for a variety of property types and industries primarily located in northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin, and northern Indiana. The property types listed below typically experience health and human safety risks, unsightly bird droppings, or structural damage to their facilities caused by Canada geese, gulls, pigeons, sparrows, swallows or turkey vultures. Just like all other wildlife, birds have essential needs, such as food, water, and shelter--if a property offers one or more of these needs property managers can expect pest bird problems at one time or another.
