Extermination: Extermination is really the wrong term for what we do. We perform wildlife management and removal. This most often means humane live wildlife trapping. We rarely resort to lethal methods of wildlife control. In fact, the only animal that we use lethal control means for is rats, because we've found that it's impractical and pretty much impossible to attempt live trapping, removal, and relocation for rats. Thus, we do in fact kill rats when we perform rat control services. However, it's very important to realize that there's a distinction between the services we offer and those of many other Orlando exterminating companies.
We primarily operate in the Orlando area, but perform large commercial projects state-wide. This most commonly means large bat control projects, in areas such as Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Naples, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Daytona, and Jacksonville. The above two photos of me are typical of the type of commercial wildlife pest control work that I do. I work on a lot of local Orlando apartment buildings, doing things such as removing squirrels from attics. I also do a lot of bat work, such as the photo of me in a 60' bucket lift doing bat control work at a hotel.
We do not make use of poison for rat control. Poison is simply not a permanent rat solution. It will not kill 100% of the rats and worst of all, it leaves dead rats and mice in the walls, which cause tremendous odor. We use integrated pest management, which means that we trap existing animals, and most importantly, identify and seal up (with steel) all of the areas where rats and mice enter. This is without a doubt the best approach. I see pest control companies charging constant monthly fess to spread some poison outside the home.
Squirrel Info: The Eastern Gray Squirrel is a common nuisance animal here in Orlando. They are one of the most likely animals to get into your house, and live in the attic, soffit, or walls. You may hear them scampering around in the ceiling in the morning and evening or throughout the day. The female squirrels give birth twice a year, in both August and February, and they love to have the babies in the attic. They bring nesting material into the house, and leave behind waste. They need to chew to wear down their ever growing teeth, and thus pose a risk of chewing on electrical wires in attics, which can cause a fire hazard.
Repairs: Wildlife damage repairs are a vital part of the wild animal control process. Many people don't seem to realize just how vital this step is. The principle is simple: if you've got animals in your home - such as rats in the walls, raccoons in the attic, squirrels in the eaves, whatever - they entered your house through some opening, some hole in your architecture. It may be an existing hole, perhaps a fault of the home builder, or the animal may have clawed/torn/chewed a new hole of its own.
Guarantee Info: At 24/7 Wildlife, we stand behind our wildlife control work. When we perform wildlife removal services at your home or business, it is our goal to solve the problem permanently. We don't just trap a few animals and call it a job. We solve the root of the problem - we identify the causes for the animal problem and fix those as well. For example, if you have animals in the attic, the job is not completed simply by trapping and removing the animals. We inspect every square inch of the home and identify all of the areas that animals can use to enter the home.
