Selling a house? Foster's will complete the necessary inspections to help with your real estate closings. These include wood destroying insects/organisms, water testing, and septic inspections. We email the reports to your closing attorney, instead of relying on snail mail to get it there on time. This gives you one less thing to worry about during a potentially stressful time. Our home is one of our biggest investments. We do things to take care of it, so we can call it "home" for a long time. Periodic checks for termites and wood destroying insects is a good idea to add to our maintenance list.

Bed bugs are, by far, one of the fastest growing pest species in America today. As a result, there's an abundance of information out there regarding them -- some accurate, some not. On this page, we'll try and help you determine the fact from the fiction, and give you information on how to keep you and your family safe. Bed bug bites can be difficult to diagnose, as each person's immune system reacts differently, and even the same person might have a different reaction over time. For that reason, Foster's does not identify a bed bug infestation by bite marks alone -- we inspect for the insects themselves.

In addition to a treatment for a specific type of invading pest, Foster's Pest Control offers two types of regular maintenance plans, designed to keep pests from ever invading your home in the first place. Performed every three months. A quarterly service is what we at Foster's Pest Control recommend. Done four times a year, the outside of your home is treated using a general pesticide, to keep pests such as spiders and ants from coming in. The inside of the house can also be treated upon request.

Every spring, termite colonies will send out reproductives, called "swarmers", to start new colonies. Swarmers look a lot like winged ants, but the diagram above can help you determine the difference. Also, when traveling aboveground, termites will build tunnel systems, called "tubes", out of mud; finding fresh tubes on your property is a sure indication you have termites. Please note, however, that these things in themselves do not necessarily mean that you have an infestation. Other insects make "tubes" out of mud, and sometimes visible activity can seem recent when, in fact, it is years old.
