Pest Solutions is Owned and Operated by Martin Pollitt and the Pollitt Family. You will only be speaking to, or be serviced by, a member of the Pollitt Family. Termites do have a place in the environment and have been an important part of our ecological systems since the beginning of time. Termites infest dying trees and speed up the decay process so new growth may begin in the forest. Termites have a specialized Caste system: They have different members of their colony. They have a Queen that lays eggs, Soldiers that protect the colony, Workers who eat the wood and build the tunnels, and Reproductives (Swarmers) that mate and start new colonies.
Bed Bugs are small brownish, flattened Insects that feed upon your blood. They bite you and draw blood (as do mosquitos). The pictures shown at the right are excellent photos of bed bugs. They are "hitchhikers" that are spread by persons or objects (such as suitcases) that were in an area that had bed bugs, and hitched a ride into your home. They wait in cracks and crevices for you to lay motionless (like when you are sleeping), they can detect your warmth and the carbon dioxide in your breath, and they sneak up onto your skin and bite you to draw blood for their meal.
A Termiticide (usually Premise 75WP) is mixed in a tank on the back of the truck and is injected into the soil through a Treating tool on the end of a hose. A trench is made in the soil next to the house and a treating tool is pushed into the soil to inject the liquid termiticide. Bait Stations (usually Advance Termite Bait System) are installed into the soil around the outside of the home. The Stations are monitored on a regular basis. When the stations get a hit (Termites eating inside) then a Bait Cartridge is placed inside to deliver the Active Ingredient.
