Pest Shield Corporation is a family owned and operated business that has a long heritage in the pest control industry. Joseph Stangel, an exterminator by trade, started his business in New York City in 1932. In 1940, he brought his family to Rockland County to enjoy the cooler summers. Over the next 20 years, he built an excellent reputation based on honesty and professionalism. In 1960, his son Barry Stangel took over the family business. In 1964, Barry moved his family to Rockland County and where he opened his first office in Monsey.
