With over 50 years experience in HVAC and 28 years experience in geothermal heating and cooling, we have been installing and maintaining advanced geothermal systems for over two decades all over Louisville KY and the Kentuckiana area. As an owner-operated business, we are committed to providing quality customer service and outstanding results for all your geothermal needs. We specialize in Geothermal Heating and Cooling System Design and Installation, Heat Pumps and Gas Furnace Installations, Indoor Air Quality, Radiant Floor Heating and much more.
Because of the lack of trained geothermal professionals in the Louisville area we started our company in 2005, in order to offer home owners an eco-friendly, reliable and efficient way to heat and cool their home with significant yearly financial savings. With over 50 years of experience in the conventional heating and cooling industry, we also have over 28 years of expertise and knowledge in geothermal system design, installation, operation and maintenance. Our extensive experience allows us to offer exceptional customer service, support and product knowledge when designing and installing your geothermal system.
Geothermal systems consist of an indoor unit and a buried earth loops that use the Earth's constant temperatures to provide "free energy" to heat and cool your home. In the winter months, fluid circulating through the system's earth loops absorb and store heat, and carries it indoors. Proper design and installation of Geothermal Loops is the key to its efficient and reliable operation. There are two primary types of Geothermal System Loops: Closed Loop Systems and Open Loop Systems. A Closed Loop System is the most common type of Geothermal System Installation.
Hydronic Radiant Floor Heating systems are designed to supply heat directly to the floor panels in your home's floor and deliver heat directly from the hot surface resulting in a more efficient form of heating. Radiant floor panels maintain stable temperatures throughout the system, which also provide a more comfortable home environment. Hydronic radiant floor systems are designed to pump heated water through floor tubing laid underneath your home's floor. The system operates with radiant heat transfer, also known as infrared radiation.
When outdoor temperatures fluctuate with the seasons, the underground temperatures do not. Four to six feet below Earth's surface, the temperatures remain constant 58 degrees. Geothermal System, which typically consist of an indoor unit and buried earth loops, used the earth's basically constant temperatures to provide you with "free energy" for your home. In winter, fluid circulates through the system's earth loops, absorbs stored heat and carries it indoor to heat your home. The indoor unit compresses the heat to a higher temperature and distributes it throughout your home.
Selecting the right heating and cooling equipment for your home can be confusing. Beware of contractors that may try to sell you Geothermal Systems with more capacity then you need. Even though more capacity sounds like a good thing, a system that is too big for your home will heat and cool too quickly leading to short cycling. The short cycling can lead to wear and tear on the system, inadequate dehumidification and reduced product lifespan. Before any new equipment is recommended for your home, we will perform a careful analysis of your home's heating and cooling requirements, after which we can determine the optimum equipment capabilities and energy-efficiency ratings to give you the best return on your system.
