One of our furnaces went out and the second floor got cold fast, with the temp outside below 10. On a Saturday. The folks that used to service our stuff, and who kinda came with the builder, apparently have gone out of business. As I usually do, I looked for a local provider. Found Stadtler online. Paul called me back, said I was in the queue, but it would be a while. No surprise. Figured it would be a few hours. He called back a while later, said he was totally stacked, and would send me Paul. So Paul came over within the hour, diagnosed the problem, told me the options, ordered the necessary part, then showed up midday on Monday (today), fixed the one furnace, and serviced the other. The price was about what I expected. All's good, and now I have a new outfit for regular maintenance. AND they're in town.

My ac went out on the hottest day of the year .i called them the next morning and told them I have a handicap mother in the house on oxygen they said they would try and get somebody to come out. An hour later they called and said they where on the way. Next thing on knew the installer called and said they would fit us in with a new unit chad,babe and Lionel where great, professional curtious . Even thou it was late in the day they where wonderful I would reccomend them in a heart beat

So, summer of '12 and you are looking up A/C service on Yelp -- probably an emergency. Welcome to the club.
Sine I am new to the area and this is my first HVAC crisis (dead condenser, 4th of July weekend), I called a lifetime area resident for advice and was told that this is the go-to place (an old high school connection from back in the day). Anyway, after calling first thing in the morning they managed to slot me in late in the day, the technician found the blown part, replaced it from his truck, and left a half-hour later leaving me (and the cat) back in the cool.
Four stars means that I would call them without hesitation next time kitty and I experience a climate crisis.

I cannot say enough great things about our experience. We live in an old house and wanted to claim the basement space as a family room and home office. Because the basement was never intended to be anything more than storage, the duct work was a hodge podge of runs and angles that crowded the headroom and obscured sight lines and potential wall placement. It was also covered with old asbestos insulation. So, we had an abatement company remove ALL the basement duct work (no asbestos on the runs in the walls) for a completely fresh start. We also wanted to take advantage of the tax incentives to replace our furnace. It was a tall order--in December, no less--but the Stadtler crew was more than up to the challenge. Beginning with Dan, the thorough, knowledgeable estimator, to the guys who installed our furnace and duct work, everything was truly a pleasure. Even Diana who answers the phone, and Steve who schedules the work are so friendly and positive! We knew we had finally found the right company when Dan really listened to our vision for the basement remodel and was so very helpful in suggesting ideas to help us accomplish it. He was creative, positive, and extremely experienced--not one of those guys who tells you "it can't/doesn't need to be done" when you ask for something outside of their usual package. For example, I had asked at least 5 previous estimators to do a manual J load calculation and all of them told me it wasn't necessary. I didn't even bother to ask Dan, so I was shocked when he took the time to do the measurements and inspections to fill out the form and do the calculations! I really felt like we were getting the best furnace for our situation, not just the furnace the company wanted to sell. Lastly, the price for all of this advice and work was fair and reasonable. Like many people, we have to count our pennies and could not afford to splurge on whatever it would take to finish the basement. We have waited 14 years and have consulted a dozen contractors before we found the perfect combination of expertise, insight, and price.
