It is with a heavy heart that our family shares with our Quality Heating & Cooling customers of the passing of our founder, Richard A. Wagner, Sr., on July 26, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. Rich is deeply loved by his family, friends and the loss that is felt cannot be put into words. At the age of 24 in 1960, Rich proudly founded Quality Heating & Cooling and continued managing the operation and working until his death. His exceptional work ethic, wisdom, long-term commitment to customers and unparalleled experience will be greatly missed.

Richard Sr started the company in 1960 and continues to be an active part of the company after 55 years. He enjoys diagnosing unusual situations, designing the perfect system for each Customer and fabricating duct work. Rich Sr has watched the HVAC industry grow rapidly over the last 5 1/2 decades and installed the first Whirlpool Gas Air Conditioner for the Comptroller of Laclede Gas Company. In his spare time Rich Sr enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, taking trips with his wife Carol, watching the St. Louis Cardinals play ball, assisting many charities and continues to be an active 30 year member of the Kiwanis Club.
