Our A/C stopped Sunday afternoon and I spent Monday morning calling about 20 different companies as the temp was rising fast in the house. It’s crazy hot and I knew everyone was overloaded. Alison was first on the scene 24 hours later. Dave came to our house and fixed us up like new. My husband was very impressed. Professional and affordable. I cannot thank you enough. Alison has done our HVAC work in the past and has done a great job. We were disappointed to reach out for a residential AC repair and no one showed up for the appointment. When we finally got in touch with the technician several hours past our appt. time, he said he thought someone else (Dave) was handling it and he was going to be even later past 6 pm. We couldn't wait so he rescheduled for the next morning and again, no one showed up and no phone call. They won't return our calls. Perhaps they are slammed with spring start up elsewhere or just don't want to be bothered. Still, it takes only a moment to send a text or voice mail. We were surprised as they have always been professional in the past. Sadly, I cannot recommend this business. This is really flakey to leave people hanging and waiting all day for an appointment (TWICE!) and to not return calls to its customers.

It was by chance that I called Bill at Alison Mechanical; I was looking for a Bryant installer at Bryant.com and there were 34 possible dealers - somehow I chose Alison although they were 32nd on the list and had no reviews. Glad I did.
Like everyone, I get more than one quote for my projects; and I can say that it was only pleasant to deal with Bill and a guy from Lennox; the others just don't want to give you any time (one jerk literally told me that he had plenty of clients and didn't want to deal with one who asked questions).
My AC had a bad coil and it was still the old Freon type; I was leaning towards replacing, but I had too many expenses this year and it was getting tough.
In the end the decision of going with Bill was easy; unlike the others he did not pressure me to replace, he understood my situation and suggested just replacing the coil for now and updating next year or the year after that. Unlike others who immediately said that repairing would be a waste of money, Bill explained that he could put in a coil that was compatible with Freon and the newer 410A, so that when I updated the system, this cost would not have to be incurred again. He also gave me a very good price on the repair, and when it turned out that he had to get a more expensive coil than the one he had planned, he didn't even charge me for the difference!
As if that was not enough to recommend Bill and team, once the system was repaired he walked outside and checked my AC, and came back saying "wow, that system sounds great, you probably won't need a new one in years". Who says that when your business is to install AC?
Bill promised to come again to install a ductless system that I want as a backup, and when it is time to replace the main AC, I will call him as well. He is not the cheapest, but he is very reasonable.

My central AC unit needed a tune up. It wasn't blowing as cold as it should. Today, temps are supposed to reach the low 90's. Enter Dave from Alison Mechanical. Top notch guy. Called me when he was on his way, and knocked it out of the park. I am currently writing this review as my home is cooling off nicely. Their communication was excellent too. We called them because a friend had recommended them to us. We placed our call, and within a couple of hours, Dave called me and set up a time for today. He was on time, fast and efficient. Great company. If you have any heating or AC issues, this is the place to call! Great pricing too!
