We are family owned and operated. With the dream of two individuals, Marlin James opened its doors on January 21, 1994. James "Red" Griffin and Marlin "Scott" Clark Sr., with five decades of experience combined, founded Marlin James, Inc on an incredible combination of loyalty, integrity, and just plain pride that lives on to this day. After Red's retirement in 2006, his daughter, Glenda Clark, took over his control of the company. In 2016, Marlin Clark Jr joined making it a 3rd generation company.
Depending on the design of your home, it may be difficult to get properly conditioned air where you need it. In situations like this, a mini-split system can solve the problem by bringing powerful, efficient heating and cooling to individual areas, without the need for a ductwork connection. Most home heating and cooling systems take the form of a conventional "split system, " in which an air conditioner or heat pump outside is paired with a furnace or air handler inside. In this kind of system, the indoor unit circulates air through ducts to every room in the house.
Florida's climate can be harsh and unforgiving. Your comfort depends on a well-maintained, high-efficiency air conditioning system. Marlin James specializes in ductless systems, heat pumps, and central air conditioning systems from the top brands of the industry. Our team in made up of comfort advisors, installers, and technicians. We work together to maximize your investment through the journey from building a proposal to maintaining the system for many many years. Our customers keep coming back, noticing the Marlin James difference.
The winter months (sometimes weeks) of Florida never seem to last long, but there's no need to be uncomfortable. Being cold is miserable. Stay cozy in your home or workplace by having your heating system inspected before winter comes. Don't be stranded in a freezing house with the family bundled up in blankets. Every year, we get service calls from homeowners that turn their heating system on for the first time in 10 months, only to find out it does not work. To avoid this, sign up for our heating maintenance contract, Red's Club so that you can have confidence knowing your family will be warm when winter coming.
If you are having any issues with your furnace, this is something we advise you to have it repaired right away. Even though we rarely need heat in Florida, it will inevitably get colder. Most people don't realize that if a furnace is looking a little dusty, it will affect the overall performance of it. Marlin James is ready to inspect and repair your heater before it becomes an issue. One sign that you may need to replace your furnace filter is if your house is accumulating more dust than usual on furniture.
Ductwork refers to the system of ducts (metal or synthetic tubes) used to transport air from heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment throughout your home. Properly installed and well-maintained air ducts are a key component of indoor air quality and home comfort. Home heating systems produce a small amount of carbon monoxide, a harmful gas that is normally transferred outdoors through your ductwork. If pipes and vents are clogged or obstructed, that gas could find its way into your home's air and compromise your family's health.
There's a chill in the air and the days are getting shorter. These are just some of the telltale signs that winter is just around the corner. So, before you turn on your heating system for the first time, make sure it can handle everything that winter has in store. Getting a furnace maintenance check by your local Lennox Dealer, Marlin James, is a smart way to ensure your home stays comfortable and energy efficient all winter long. Marlin James will carefully inspect the furnace to make sure it's running at optimum efficiency.
During warmer months, a heat pump works as a normal air conditioner. It extracts heat from inside the home and transfers it to the outdoor air. In colder weather, however, the process reverses-the unit collects heat from the outdoor air and transferring it inside your home. Even when the air outside feels extremely cold, the air still contains some heat. The heat pump pulls the heat from this cold outdoor air and sends it inside to warm your home. When there's not enough heat in the outside air to meet the demand of the thermostat setting, an electric heater supplements the outdoor air to warm the home.
