Hart & Iliff was founded in 1889 by two brothers-in-law, Nathan H. Hart and Louis S. Iliff. The company initially sold feed and grain, coal and building materials. Eventually Hart & Iliff branched out into selling heating oil and installing/servicing heating and air conditioning equipment. After a number of years operating as partners, Louis Iliff bought out Nathan Hart. The business was run by the Iliff family continually until 1971 when it was purchased by Albert & Florence Brand. For over 120 years we have built our business by consistently doing what is right for our customers.

Oil prices continue to decline. As I write this, crude oil on the futures exchange is trading at just over $40 per barrel.
In 2010, the U.S. imported 50% of it's crude oil. In 2015, the Energy Information Administration projects this percentage to be 20%.
