To celebrate 100 years of fine woodworking, we have completed an extensive remodel at our showroom in Walnut Creek.

In our 100 years of woodworking, we've seen great changes in the way kitchens were built and used. Our first kitchens consisted of a few free-standing furniture pieces arranged around a sink and stove. In the 1960's, the modern kitchen came to mean built-in cabinets and sprawling countertops. More recently, the open concept blurred the lines between kitchen and living room. The typical kitchen gained an island and built-in appliances. Schrocks of Walnut Creek has been there all along, evolving constantly to meet the needs of the modern homeowner.

There are no shortcuts to a perfect paint finish. At Schrocks of Walnut Creek, our painted cabinet doors are constructed from solid maple wood. Paint finishes consist of 3 coats with a careful sanding before each. Our system includes a pressurized finish room to provide a clean environment for both durable and beautiful results. Our custom color system opens a world of possibilities for your cabinetry finish, including hundreds of popular colors by well-known paint companies. If you find a color you like, we can match its tone with our superior product.

From a warm tawny beige to an airy natural finish, from an eye-catching traditional cherry to a deep, rich danish walnut our stains are sure to please. We offer a full range of standard stains in birch, oak, maple, cherry, quarter-sawn white oak, hickory and knotty alder. We also offer specialty stains. If you are looking for a specific texture or appearance, you can further personalize the look of your cabinetry with specialty finishes such as glazing, crackling, paint brush strokes, and distressing for enhanced textures.
