JJ came by this morning to give us a quote on a new AC system. We had a repair done recently by another company and with the age of our units thought they may need to be replaced. After getting answers to questions he asked, JJ went into the attic to check out the furnace. Right away he noticed a pipe not completely connected to the furnace, and he said this is why the air was hot. You were getting hot air from the attic being pumped into the house. He had what he needed to fix it and did that on the spot. He said the furnaces and units are in great shape and don't need to be replaced. We will use them in the future and will get a maintenance plan set up right away! Great experience and highly recommend!

John messaged me back super quick via Yelp and came out the same day. He diagnosed the potential issues and made the fixes, with transparent pricing. Cool air was almost immediately felt in the house after feeling it getting incrementally warmed throughout the day. Super service and plan on working with him and Apex in the future, if needed.

HONEST! You don't find companies like this anymore. I moved into a new place. The "new" AC was not working. I called John, Apex owner, to set up a service call. He gave me some great advice. Call the company that installed the HVAC as it should still be under warranty (I should have thought of that D'oh!). He was right! This means I did not use Apex because a competitor installed the unit less than 12 months ago. John/Apex was HONEST and in the future I will use Apex. Clearly they look out for their customers. Good people.

Our heat stopped working last night, during the worst winter weather Austin has seen in years, which also happened to be Saturday night and the day before Valentines Day. The next morning, we looked on Yelp hoping to find someone who could help. I didn't have much hope since the roads were super icy and it was Valentine's Day and Sunday. We saw that Apex had 24 hour emergency service and sent a message. John reached out quickly, maybe within 10 minutes and said he'd be at our place in 15. Of course the service charge was a bit higher because it was after hours, but it wasn't so much that it seemed excessive. It took John longer than he thought. The roads were awful. He was really nice about coming out and tolerant of our barking dog. He went to work immediately and luckily the repair was something he could fix right away and had the part on his truck. Within a few moments of his arrival our heat was back on! What a relief! We were expecting several more days of freezing temps, ice, and snow, and being without heat would have been awful.
John presented us with an invoice that was fair for the repair and we paid up. We couldn't happier with how it worked out. Thanks! Be safe John!

Apex absolutely earns its 5 star rating. John responded to my Yelp message within a few minutes... one that I sent at 5:45am. He was at my house about 3 hrs later to fix my A/c that went out the night before. He did me a huge solid... the buyer of my home was coming in the afternoon to do a walk through before closing the next day. By the time the buyer came, the house was back at 73 degrees. Fortunately it was only the capacitor. John was honest, trustworthy and fully transparent. He explained everything. It was a relief that John busted all the horrible A/C guy myths. Just three weeks earlier I had a standard service with a big named company that tried to sell me $3000 in unrelated repairs. Fortunately a buddy in commercial AC called it BS and I didn't do it. Here nor there, John has a life long customer in me when my next A/C service arises.

You would think moving here from Alaska the cold days and nights would t bother us. I was so wrong. The heating system hasn't been working right, so we decided we need to call someone. I have the master down stairs with three bedrooms upstairs. It would be freezing downstairs but upstairs it would get to 85 degrees.

We called one company and they said i can't fix it and that was it. The second said it has to be replaced and quoted us $8000. We decided to get a second opinion. We called Apex and they came right out this morning. John came over took a look around and went into the attic. Now mind you the other companies didn't even ask to go there. He dabbled a little and it's fixed!!!

We have a two story house and the heater has dampers that weren't opening and closing correctly. So he fix it. And now i have heat in my room. I am so excited i don't have to wear wool socks, a sweater and a heated blanket to stay warm down here. The baby can come down and crawl without being cold and upstairs will stay cool one we figure out how to regulate the correct temp for the house in general.
