Gavin Design-Build

A Bit of Our History. The company was originally started in 1980 under the name Gavin Home Improvements. It grew quickly by doing some very simple things; we kept appointments, showed up on time, and communicated with the owner. I didn't think it was anything unusual since that's how I was raised but my customers thought otherwise. They told me of other companies who didn't return phone calls, didn't show up for appointments, or showed up out-of-the-blue several days after the scheduled appointment.

With both design and construction in the hands of a single entity, there is a single point of responsibility for quality, cost and schedule adherence. The Design-Builder is motivated to deliver a successful project by fulfilling multiple parallel objectives, including aesthetic and functional quality, budget, and schedule for timely completion. With design-build, the owner is able to focus on scope/needs definition and timely decision-making, rather than on coordination between designer and builder.
