Heat pumps are a great solution if you're looking for ways to reduce your heating and cooling costs and lower your impact on the environment. These low-maintenance systems act as efficient all-in-one ACs and heaters. Aspen Aire installs and repairs heat pumps for homeowners in Des Moines, Ankeny and all of central Iowa. A heat pump is a complete air conditioning and heating system in one that keeps you comfortable through every season. Heat pumps work by moving heat from one place to another. Depending on the type, this could mean pumping warm air from inside a building to the outside air or pulling heat from the ground and into the building.
Aspen Aire has been providing expert air conditioner repairs, installation, maintenance and replacement in Des Moines, Ankeny and all of central Iowa since 2006. If your air conditioner isn't putting out cold air or it makes strange sounds like grinding or squealing, contact us for service. Other signs that a repair may be needed include reduced performance, water pooling around the system, odd smells or reduced airflow from the ducts. Our experienced HVAC technicians will work to quickly diagnose the problem and then provide you with the best, most cost-effective repair options.
Make sure your cooling system is ready for hot summer weather with an annual air conditioner tune-up. Regular maintenance will help your AC last longer and run more efficiently so you can save on cooling costs. Aspen Aire's experienced technicians have been providing AC tune-ups in Des Moines and central Iowa since 2006. We service all brands and models of air conditioners. Scheduling your AC check early in the spring will ensure it's all set when the summer heat sets in. This also allows you to pick an appointment time that's most convenient for you, since there's less demand.
Thermostats are the "brains" of a heating and cooling system. They connect to your furnace, AC or heat pump and allow you to control and monitor the temperature inside your home or business. Aspen Aire repairs and installs thermostats in Ankeny, Des Moines and the rest of central Iowa. We can work on all types of thermostats. If you need a new one, we offer Carrier and Nest thermostats. However, there are many different options on the market today that fit different budgets and needs, so we can also help with recommendations or install a thermostat you've already purchased.
If you want to improve your home or office's indoor air quality, we offer several solutions. Adding equipment to your existing heating and cooling system can help with regulating humidity as well as reducing allergens, pet dander, dust, mold, bacteria and static electricity. A whole-house humidifier can increase your comfort, reduce allergens, alleviate static shocks and even help lower your heating bills. People feel most comfortable when the indoor humidity level is between 30% and 50%. Running the heater during Iowa's cold winter months can lower the relative humidity inside your home to 15% or even lower.

Geothermal systems are the most energy-efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly heating and cooling options on the market. They provide air conditioning and heat in one system, without relying on non-renewable resources. Aspen Aire installs and repairs geothermal heat pumps in Ankeny, Des Moines and all of central Iowa. A geothermal system captures free, renewable heat energy from the ground. About 47% of the sun's energy that reaches Earth is absorbed by and stored in the ground. A geothermal system transfers heat energy between the ground and a home or other building.
Add an extra level of comfort to your new home with a radiant in-floor heat system. Aspen Aire installs both electric and hydronic floor heating for home construction projects in Des Moines and central Iowa. A radiant floor heating system uses a heat source underneath the flooring to warm its surface as well as the air and objects above it. There are two types of in-floor heat: electric and hydronic. Electric Floor Heating - Electric wiring is woven into a mat that's installed under the flooring.
I’m not one to write reviews but in this case I just wanted to thank Aspen Aire for their exceptional service… my AC was 27 years old and in borrowed time I called and Alex was there within a day to give me a quote… his knowledge and expertise put my mind at ease knowing I called the right place. The guys that did the insulation were prompt and very professional. They cleaned up after themselves (I definitely wasn’t used to that) I also wanted to thank Craig for overseeing the project, he is very skilled in his profession… thanks again Aspen Aire!
Aspen, Alex, and crew were very responsive in getting my unit repaired. We were selling our house and needed the unit inspected and repaired quickly. Alex not only found us a new unit, but was able to get the unit installed the very next day! Alex's crew got started right away, explained the procedure and got us back up in running in just a short few hours. We are more than pleased about the process and turn around time of this group had provided. Outstanding group!
Matt at Aspen Aire has provided services on a couple of occasions and both times was incredibly pleasant, professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and did an excellent job of explaining and answering questions. On one occasion Matt was checking the AC for air flow, temperature, and a unique noise we were hearing. On another, Matt installed a humidifier and air scrubber. Extremely pleased with his service and Aspen Aire in general.
We were looking for a company to come out and do a routine check on our furnace. Ultimately, we decided to contact Aspen Aire since they installed the heating/cooling system when our new home was built.
When I called, Ellie did a great job of explaining services and their maintenance plan that is available. We opted for the maintenance plan.
Mike Kellar arrived on time. We discussed how we set our thermostats to ensure we were doing this the right way. He spent time going over the furnace with us and explained the correct filters for our unit, how it works and their role in helping us keep our system healthy. He discussed the maintenance plan and their services.
We were extremely pleased with Mike's knowledge, professionalism, and easy way in which he communicated with us. We feel that we have connected with a great company with great people.
Aspen Aire is a fast growing Heating and Air Conditioner company. We are looking for a New Construction Lead Installer to join our team!
