I seldom post reviews for companies that perform as expected. However, I was impressed at how quickly, cleanly and efficiently Southland installed our central heating and a/c system a couple of years ago. Now that I've had my first service experience with them, I continue to be extremely satisfied with their service. The office personnel have all been friendly and communicative, and the service technician Robert, was quick, knowledgeable and courteous repairing the unit. Highly recommended this company.

First I'll start with the communication. From the beginning when I requested a quote, Dave was prompt, courteous and very friendly with no sales pressure. After we received the quote, our existing system broke and our new system was installed in 1 day including new ducts and grates. Dave even made an appearance to show it was going. His employees were friendly and they did lay down tarps and plastic where needed. Even after the install, Dave and the office staff did follow up to see how everything was working. A new HVAC system is a lot of money but I really appreciate the friendliness as we didn't feel like a monetary transaction only. The 5 year labor warranty is a big bonus to feel secure that if there is a problem, it will be taken care of.

We recently shopped for a new ac/heating unit and were getting frustrated with the sales pitches. It wasn't until we contacted Southland via Angie's List that we got a good estimate which included many Los Angeles County rebates (the other companies didn't mention this). We looked over the estimate, listened to their technician and decided to accept their proposal. A week later they came and spent the day installing a new system. The five person crew were respectful and professional. We really want to thank them for making the whole process easy, especially Nick and Elbert. The system works like a charm and we are very satisfied customers.

After the Woosley Fire, your company showed up every time I needed them to meet with an adjuster or to fix a problem. It appears all is good at this time and problems have been solved. The Southland technician charged me $125 to look at and determine why my ductless system was not cooling. He gave me an estimate for the repairs -- $1200 -- and said I would need to call the office to schedule an appointment. I called and got a busy signal ... repeatedly. When I finally got through to someone a message was taken and I was told they would call me back after they conferred with the techs who would actually be doing the repairs. No one called back. Ever. After repeated attempts to contact them to follow up and never getting a return call I contacted a competitor who sent a technician that afternoon and repaired the system for half the price because the Southland tech's evaluation was absolutely wrong. Thank God you didn't return my calls, Southland Heating and Cooling. I feel fortune to have only been taken for $125.00.

We had some concerns over Air Circulation in a few rooms. Southland was easy to schedule and followed Covid protocols(mask, etc...) upon getting out of their vehicle. Upon entering our home he put on shoe covers. A quick solution was found and we got the job done. It was a minor correction to change out the registers in the room that were constricting air flow. No up selling, no high pressure to check other items, etc...

Southland and their team were nothing but understanding and efficient. A heat wave was coming and I was NOT about to sit through it with a broken system. After pulling all the needed city permits themselves, they got in and out within a day and got the entire job done. Replaced the entire system at a great price and with an amazing job done! I couldn't recommend a more honest, quick, and fair priced company. The system is perfect! Not only were they quick about disassembling the old unit but then new system as well! They were considerate of the fact that I was working from home and constantly taking calls....would get verification with me before doing any loud drilling or hammering so I could go along with my work day with no bumps in the road or interruptions.
Will definitely refer to all my neighbors, friends, and family.

I just have to say that Southland Heating and Air was very easy to deal with. Ray gave a great price! The technician (Brian) was very very patient explaining everything. The office staff is always friendly. And Dave is very reasonable and handles any concerns. There are not that many companies out there that have such continued customer service like Southland Heating and Air.
They go the extra mile to keep their customers happy!

I had Southland heating come by for the LADWP A/C Optimization program back in August 2018, I wanted to wait on the review in case there was any issues. Their customer service on the phone was honest and friendly.
They installed the nest, but there was a few hiccups with the installation. Despite the hiccups, they came out a few times to correct those issues and it's been working ever since.
The technicians: Bryan, Albert, and Michael were knowledgeable and helped me get my A/C & Heater working with the nest without a hitch. My A/C issue was not having 5 wires for my Nest. After I purchased an AddAWire, they were able to get the ground terminal from my A/C unit to sync with the Addawire. After watching them, I was relieved that I didn't attempt to install the Nest myself.
I would definitely use them in the future and recommend them to my friends.
