Legacy Lawn & Landscape was founded in 1999 by Nathan Pratt. Since this time we have passed many milestones along the way and gained knowledge and experience that has given us the reputation we have as a top quality landscaping firm. Our pledge is to establish lasting relationships with our customers by exceeding their expectations and gaining their trust through exceptional performance in everything that we do. We have happily served the Tri-Cities area which includes Richland, Pasco, and Kennewick.
The Tri-Cities is located near large amounts of basalt lava flows that occurred in the region thousands of year ago. The lava cooled and formed massive formations of basalt. These provide an abundant supply of the best rock wall materal. With a large excavator fitted with a hammer large boulders can be broken off and used as accent rocks in lawn areas. Landscaping with boulders is an economical way to increase the curb appeal of your property. The next time you drive by the higher-end homes in south Richland take a look to see how many of these homes use accent boulders.
There are two main reasons to plant grass seed in September for your Kennewick landscaping. The first reason is because our grasses are cool season grasses such as Kentucky Blue that don't do as well in the hot summer months. So why not plant in May, you might ask? That leads to the second reason. Pictured above Legacy landscape has a One crew that specializes in masonry block fencing. This job was completed for one of our customers in West Richland. The customer wanted a custom pattern for this wall.
The Tri-Cities is not well known for its abundant snowfall but every 3 to 5 years we seem have a storm that sends everyone running to the local Lowes or Home Depot looking for a snow shovel. And of course they are sold out of shovels when this happens so it's best to be prepared. In addition to a shovel, the second most important item to have is ice melt. Ice melt will take care of the small layer of snow that gets missed when the driveway is shoveled or a snow blowing machine is used. Legacy Lawn and Landscape provides these services for large snow events at prices which start at $65 for a driveway and sidewalk combination.

An effective irrigation system is often a crucial feature in your landscape and is a vital part of your landscaping design and installation. A poor watering schedule or no watering schedule can lead to poor lawn growth. Moreover, an irrigation system set to a timer or clock can be a huge savings through the conservation of water as your plants, shrubbery, trees, and lawn can be timed to get the correct amount of water needed without over-watering. Plus, an irrigation system set to a timer can also be a valuable time saver in areas that have very specified watering restrictions.
Nathan has done an outstanding job for me. I have used him on several projects throughout the years. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for landscaping or lawn care.
