We offer our customers regular landscape maintenance on either a 4-week or 8-week recurring schedule. This is the KEY to keeping your yard looking beautiful year round. This tried and true method of scheduling has worked wonders for our clients! In addition to the actual work, our commitment starts before we ever arrive at your door. An email reminder is sent out to you prior to our arrival so that you know when we're scheduled to come service your property. And if you're a seasonal resident, and not in the area during your service, we photograph your property when the work is complete so you can actually SEE that your property has been serviced.
Answer: In a short answer, NO. This is one of the most harmful, yet common practices known. There is about 25 to 30 years of literature written on this common mistake explaining the harm effects that could envelop the tree, yet many continue to top trees, or request us to top trees. We would rather spend time getting educated and educating you with research like this. That is why we use the methods we do to keep your trees safe and healthy. When a tree service removes an excessive amount of live wood from a tree they are giving no consideration to the structure of the tree.
Weed control is an absolute necessity in the region that we live in, especially in areas where we are governed by a Homeowners Association. The time it takes to pull individual weeds greatly increases the amount of time needed to care for ones yard, which will increase the amount of money it costs to care for yard. WARNING: Pesticides can be harmful. Keep children and pets away from pesticide applications until dry, dissipated, or aerated. For more information, contact RRS Landscape Solutions at (928) 848-2058.
Do NOT place an emitter on the end of the line unless water is spraying out like a hose! When the water is dripping out of the line it is doing it's job. If the plant is looking dehydrated and droopy then it may need more water. The size of the emitter can be changed to allow for more water to be distributed to the plant. Controller/Timer: This controls the watering cycles by automatically activating the control valves on the days and times you pre-select, thereby directing when, how long, and how often the irrigation system operates.
To fertilize or not to fertilize, that is the question. The advice given to many gardeners can vary from one horticulturist to another. Some feel that desert plants are well adapted to our desert soils and will receive all the nutrients they need. Still others recommend fertilizing to replace exhausted nutrients, thereby encouraging a more rapid growth pattern for the plants. The primary macronutrients needed by plants to grow and survive are nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). These major nutrients are usually lacking from the soil first because they are used in large amounts by the plants for their growth and survival.

Southwest Sod was founded in 1985 by 2nd generation agriculturalists, and they have been producing premium turf since 1985. Their hybrid bermuda turf is ideally suited for Arizona's dry, western climate and is perfect for professional and home applications. The first step is to mow your grass short, leaving only about 50% of the leaf blade. Next, reduce watering significantly for 5 days. This stresses the ryegrass and allows the hybrid to flourish. Finally, fertilize with 21-0-0 analysis or a fertilizer with a similar rate of ammonium sulfate and return to a regular watering and mowing schedule.
