We began growing trees in 1988, added landscaping in 1992 and our retail garden center in 1999. By making a strong commitment to personal service, continuous improvement in both the retail and plant production areas, and fostering a sense of community with all those whose lives we touch, we have seen an amazing growth in the business. Knecht's Nurseries and Landscaping Garden Center is 10 acres of plant heaven located just inside the western Northfield city limits on State Hwy 19. If you haven't visited us before, we invite you to stop in and discover the Knecht's difference. You'll be amazed. At Knecht's we carry a huge inventory of over 30,000 perennials, shrubs and trees with over 1,000 different varieties available. Our amazing selection of trees, shrubs and perennials in nursery containers and our large selection of large balled and burlapped (B&B) trees are all nicely organized with information signs for your convenience.

We provide residential clients with a wide range of landscaping services — from providing plants and some design assistance for the do-it-yourself homeowner to a complete landscape design and installation. An incredible landscape starts out with a creative landscape. Our landscape designer will create a landscape plan that adds beauty and distinction to your home. The list of plants that we have for 2020 can be found under the categories below. Most are on our sales decks, others are in our production areas and a few are available through special order.
