Perennial Gardens was established by Linda Grieve in 1996 to fill a need in the Des Moines, Iowa landscaping community - to design, install and maintain gardens. In 1997, with the addition of James Noelck, a Landscape Architect and highly skilled crews in plant material and hardscape installation, the firm expanded to become a full-service landscape design-build-garden care firm. We offer Iowa home landscape design, landscape architecture and Iowa garden design services, along with Des Moines garden maintenance services.
Through a series of thoughtful questions, we get a sense for your dream garden or landscape. We can create a garden, space or planting area to correspond to the lifestyle you have. If you are an empty nester with the desire to relax and meditate or an active family needing room for the kids and dog, we can help you make it happen. Now that we know each other, we need to get to know your property. We will visit your site and get to know your surroundings. Light, noise and visual impediments as well as slope and drainage aspects are all considered.
Our experienced Des Moines area garden maintenance crews have the knowledge to not only provide excellent care, but also the creativity to help you make the most of your garden, by adding seasonal color. This includes, spring bulbs, annual beds, containers, fall and winter arrangements. We also offer personal consultations to educate our clients on how they can care for their own gardens.
Could not be more disappointed in Perennial Gardens. Contacted them in late spring for a bid. James visited us to gather information and said he would get back to us in two weeks with a bid. In two weeks I emailed James--no response. I called and talked to James who told me he was running behind and it would be another couple of weeks. Emailed him again in a couple of weeks--no response. It is now September and I have never heard back from James or any other staff member from Perennial Gardens. Moved on to Capital Landscaping and they have been fabulous to work with. I would highly recommend Capitol Landscaping for your landscaping needs.
Rozanne Cranesbill is one of our favorite long-blooming, heat-tolerant, go-to plants for tumbling onto paths and spreading out to cover the bare ground under roses and clematis. Zone: 4 – 10. (Yes, it is deer resistant.)
