From the moment my husband and I met John and Polly on the farm, we were comfortable. John had shown me trees and plants that I had been looking at as well as new ones which were beautiful. They supervised the job daily and made sure everything was perfect. We could not be more pleased. Highly recommended.
Negative reviews come rarely. Very $$$ for the quality of work. We had our front landscaping completed 2 years ago in 2016. Design was good, however when it came to quality of workmanship and customer service we were not impressed. Our sprinkler system was is disrepair and a buried electrical line was not marked for later extraction. John had sent a sprinkler repair person out to resolve the issue (great). We had to pay the repair man ourselves with no reimbursement for the charges. Not to mention one of our trees was installed crooked. Promised several times over a 1.5 year period and the tree is still crooked. Do your research, don't over pay, and make sure your landscape design person is responsive to issues satisfactorily.
The owner, John Ross, exhibits the kind of integrity we would like to see in every business owner. Even when mistakes are made, which is inevitable in any operation as large as Top Notch, John goes the extra mile to make it right. His designer, Heather Browne, did a beautiful job on our project. My wife is a professional interior designer and artist, and has high expectations of balance and beauty. Heather worked with her to achieve a spectacular result an added many good ideas while being able to hear my wife's ideas with an open mind resulting in an integrated creation that stops cars passing in the street. Our front yard is now the envy of our neighborhood. Based upon our experience we will use Top Notch confidently when we continue our project to our side yards and to complete the back yard. Our next door neighbor ended up using Top Notch as well and is also thrilled with the result. My wife, who is on the beautification committee for our community is recommending Top Notch to do the work there as well.
