Envirogrow Lawn & Landscape has been providing the Northern Virginia Area with high quality landscape services since its inception in 1991. The business began as a family venture. The company is still spearheaded by one of the founders Chris Hunt who remains the acting President and oversees the management of all operations. Envirogrow provides a broad range of services for both the residential and commercial clients. These range from simple lawn mowing to full service landscape management of your property.
Plan A: provides weekly cutting of your lawn.(this is recommended for irrigated properties). Plan B: provides weekly mowing of your lawn during the Spring (April 1st-June 15th) and Fall (September 15th- November 10th). Moving to a biweekly schedule during the Summer (June 15th-September 15th). Lawn mowing consists of: During the mowing season we will maintain the proper height of grass in all turf areas, (weather permitting). Debris will be removed from lawn areas prior to or during cutting. All clippings are to be recycled into the lawn, unless you request us to bag them (additional charges may apply).
We recommend that every homeowner take advantage of our aeration, compost and over seeding program in the fall. Who doesn't want a green healthy lawn? Grass grows and develops best in the cool months. Typically this is done between August 25th and September 30th. This allows plenty of time for the grass to germinate and develop prior to going dormant in mid November. An aeration treatment removes small cores of soil and thatch to allow air, moisture and nutrients to penetrate down to the root zone.
Double hard wood mulch: A natural product from the forest, that gives you the fresh or dark look you want. Mulch controls weeds without herbicides, naturally decomposes to enrich soil, and reduces soil erosion. Fast and professional: Fast installation, scheduled when you need it. Less disruption and inconvenience will be experienced by the homeowner, tenant, business, and or customer. Mulch solutions can complete the job, rain or shine. Precision: Uniform and precise application reduces cost, and uses less material to cover the same terrain.
We can deliver to you any of our bulk products, Commercial or Residential. Our trucks can hold up to 20 cubic yards of playground safety surface or mulch per trip. For compost and top soils, we can hold 5 cubic yards at time, due to the weight of the material.
When we are installing playground chips we use a certified product called "Engineered Wood Fiber". The product is tested and IPEMA certified. Don't be fooled by other non-certified products. For all our playgrounds we recommend having at least 6 minimum depth of safety surface around your play area. This is mandatory in the fall zones. We use "Soft one" made by Pallet one. We can fill your playground boxes with fine white quartz sand. The white sand will not stain clothes unlike yellow masonry sand and does not contain any rocks or course particles that are abrasive to tender hands.
Envirogrow Lawn & Landscape offers two standard plans for the homeowner who desires a fertilization plan with their mowing contract. The first is a chemical fertilization plan. The plan does include both pre and post emergent weed controls in the first two fertilizations which are performed in the spring. This plan can be modify to accommodate a homeowner who wants more or less frequent visits. The second plan we offer is a truly organic fertilization plan. This plan utilizes a granular organic fertilizer comprised of animal blood and waste that has been dried and pelletized.
Everybody loves the crisp, fresh air but then comes that time of the year many homeowners dread. Fall leaf season! Nothing makes a weekend worse than grabbing that rake and spending a day out raking leaves. This year let the experts take over. Envirogrow has the solution. A crew of laborers armed with back pack blowers, push blowers and rakes and if you choose, a leaf vacuum parked on the street attached to a truck ready to remove every leaf from your residence. Leaf removal is typically done in November or December.
