Larry Gouer purchased Mary's back in 1974. He's logged 44 years in the greenhouse business and he loves his plants. He's as proud of them as his own grandchildren (almost). It's no wonder he strives to provide the best plant selection and the best service through Mary's Greenhouse. It's his life's work! Larry is a life-long West Virginian. He's an Elkins native, grew up in Philippi, and graduated from Philip Barbour High School. Larry is the proud parent of three children: Jennifer, Denise and Chrissy, and the grandparents of nine: Lily, Harley, Dakota, Lexie, Kayden, Carter, Laney, Layla, Lincoln.

Mary's Greenhouse offers one of the widest varieties of trees and shrubs in the area. Mary's selection of flowers and plants are unusual and we like it that way. It's our plan. We want you to come here and find something you can't find anywhere else. Our horticulturalists look for those special landscaping plants that are tailored for the WV climate and soil. And we carry the highest quality, freshest inventory around. Mary's has more than just greenhouse plants. We also offer a variety of services-from growing our own stock, to delivering mulch, to designing flower bouquets. We're plant people and we're here to help. Can't make the trip to Elkins? That's okay-Mary's plants are available at many florist shops in Clarksburg, Fairmont, Morgantown, Petersburg, Moorefield, and Mannington. Check with your local florist. If they don't carry our plants they should be-we're locally owned and most of the plants we sell are locally or regionally grown.
