Native Landscapes

Native Landscapes has opened a native plant garden center. We chose native plants over exotic species because natives have adapted to our soils and climate. They require less, if any, pesticides and fertilizers, are more deer resistant, and once established, are more drought tolerant. Wildlife, such as butterflies, hummingbirds and many other species of birds are attracted to native plants and depend on these plants for survival. We call this whole concept environmental landscaping. Working with nature and the environment through plants is a common sense gardening approach.

As native landscapers we consider it our special task and responsibility to protect the natural environment. Our landscaping designs and projects use only plants that are indigenous to the specific locale or to the local horticultural zone. Native Landscapes is a design / build landscaping company engaged principally in residential and commercial landscaping in Southeastern New York and Western Connecticut. Founded in 1984, we've been building our reputation for thoughtful landscaping style with discerning residential and commercial clients throughout the Dutchess, Putnam and Fairfield county region.
