The Plumbers and Pipefitters of Local 13 work on projects of all shapes and sizes. We actively work at the Ginna Power Plant, the Xerox Toner Building, and the Barilla Pasta Plant. We're working at University of Rochester and the Medical Center. We can also be found working on homes and small business. The Plumbers and Pipefitters of Local 13 are vital to many industries throughout the Western Central New York and the Finger Lakes Region and it's because of our highly skilled workforce.
UA Local 13, Plumbers and Pipefitters was chartered in 1890. For over 120 years we've been protecting the health of our nation through our Plumbing, Pipefitting and HVAC Service work. Our contractors employ the members of local 13 in many construction Industries. We work in the Heavy Industrial, Commercial and Residential Sectors. We also specialize in HVAC Service throughout our jurisdiction, where heating & cooling systems are vital to the economy during our warm summers and cold winters. Our members are required to graduate from the UA Internationals certified and accredited Joint Apprenticeship Training Program which produces the best Journeymen in the industry.
