CMCC does not set a specific date for the beginning or end of our drainage maintenance season. Warm temperatures and mosquito activity may extend our pesticide applications well into October or November. When temperatures cool enough to depress mosquito and mosquito-borne disease activity, we begin drainage maintenance. Surveillance of immature mosquitoes, conducted by our biologists, will determine when pesticide applications commence in the early spring.
