While the bulk of our work is devoted to steep-slope roofing ("shingles"), we also install low-sloped roofs for both residential and commercial applications. The majority of this "low-slope" work involves the use of EPDM (black "rubber") and SBS (high quality, granular-based "roll roofing") membrane roofing systems, along with some recent jobs that have used a TPO (white "rubber") membrane system. We have moved away entirely from so-called "hot roofs" ("old" technology) to embrace "cold-applied" systems ("new" technology) that are much more environmentally friendly and much safer to the customers/homeowners and our workers.

It's easy to overlook the importance of siding on your home. That is until it begins to fail, and you are left with mold growth, rotted wood, and other interior damage. Siding not only makes your home beautiful, but it protects it from environmental damage. It insulates your house from the cold and heat. When your siding is damaged, your home is left open to the elements. Siding has a dual purpose. First, it protects your home while offering insulation from the weather and lowering your energy bills.

Timing for roof repairs can be quite tricky; the reason for this may be because you might have a roof that's a little bit faulty, but you don't really know if it should be fixed just yet. If you wait too long, you may end up with a defective roof, which may lead to water damage, causing the replacement to be too expensive. If you take more time, you may need to replace your roof eventually. Early signs of leaking roofs include dark spots on your ceiling. However, if you find pieces of asphalt and masses of moss, then your roof could be rotting on the inside.

Your roof is a vital part of your home. A damaged roof makes your home uninhabitable, so you must repair it immediately problems occur. Roof damage is caused by harsh weather conditions, walking on it, falling debris, and even poor installation. If you notice leaks or broken shingles you should consider contacting a roof repair expert to inspect and repair your roof. Regular inspection and maintenance are an essential part of roof care. Roof damage, when left unrepaired, can become a larger issue and cost a lot of money to fix.

Although most people view Sullivan & Fortner almost exclusively as a "roofing company, " we also offer outstanding service for both 5" and 6" standard (i.e., "style K") guttering installations. Our guttering machines are taken out to the job site and the guttering is manufactured to the specific dimensions that your building requires. While our crew members have a great deal of experience with several different installation techniques, we strongly prefer (in most instances) to utilize "hidden hangers and screws" to install and secure our guttering to the building's fascias.

While roofing and guttering are the primary focus of our business, we also install new, pre-finished aluminum soffit and fascia panels. While several color options are available for most 6" and 8" fascia jobs, 4" and 10" fascia jobs are typically limited to either "white" or "brown" pre-finished aluminum fascia panels. Vented/perforated and solid soffit panels are available in a variety of colors, with double-six inch ("D-6") being the most common panel that our homeowners request/select. Even though we sometimes perform soffit and fascia work in conjunction with contracted roofing and guttering work, we can also do "stand alone" soffit and fascia installations in most instances.

What's new?

Sullivan & Fortner is still open and roofing. Our office is shut to traffic but appointments can be made via phone at 765-532-2369. Keep safe we will get through this.
