Founded in 1978 by Butch Mullet in the garage behind his home providing residential soffit, fascia, and aluminum gutter installation services, Mullet's Aluminum has grown into one of the largest manufacturers of architectural aluminum metals in the Southeastern US and one of the region's largest metal roofing panel fabricators. In 1980, the company moved into its first commercial warehouse building located at 905 Ponder Avenue in Sarasota, FL. It later forged a relationship with a new local manufacturing company, Progressive Glass Technologies (now known as PGT Innovations) to provide window installation services for residential homes.
