Quality Electric & Controls, Inc. was founded in 1986 by Mark and Wendy Richards. We are a full service Electrical Contractor specializing in Fire Alarm systems, Solar Electric & Wind Generation systems, HVAC BAS systems, and Division 16 / NEC Electrical Power & Lighting Work. Quality Electric & Controls, Inc. has extensive experience in design-build installations. We have earned a reputation as an honest Contractor, employing a steady workforce, furnishing quality installations unsurpassed by our competition, and furnishing all of our jobs on schedule and within budget.

Original install of the Simplex/Grinnell Fire Alarm System and Access Controls. We currently do annual fire alarm testing and we are in the process of an install of a Temperature Control System, Jet Fuel system, Medgas System, and a few Misc. Systems for the new hospital. Engineering, furnishing and installation of new Simplex Grinnell fire alarm notification systems in 15 existing buildings & Trailer Lots at the NLV Nuclear Research Facility. Designed and managed installation of a campus wide Simplex Grinnell fire alarm system, integrated with an emergency monitoring system for critical processes.

QEC, Inc. can provide your total solution to Electrical Power & Lighting System design, budgeting, installation, maintenance, and testing. Our employees go through an accredited 4 year apprenticeship program and are licensed electricians. We also provide Journeyman training, and continuing education, for all employees. All employees are trained in First Aid / CPR, OSHA 10, hazardous communication, arc flash, and many other areas of safety on a continuing basis. Our Workers Compensation modifier substantiates our commitment to safety.

In 2007 Mark & Wendy Richards, owners of QEC, Inc., decided to begin laying the groundwork to start a Solar Electric Division within the company. Solar Power generation work seemed to fit perfectly within the companies systems / niche work. Other companies subcontract their electrical work, and use non-skilled employees for much of the work. We can provide the customer with a turnkey project using our highly trained, professional, licensed electricians and apprentices for the same cost to the customer.
