Newkirk Electric offers truly comprehensive electrical design and construction services for all types of projects both large and small. Partnering with our internal, full-service engineering subsidiary, Theka Engineering, we are able to provide turnkey projects from complete design through construction and commissioning. We self-perform over 90% of our work to maintain control over safety, quality, schedule and budget. The company performs general contracting and civil construction on many projects in addition to electrical work.

Newkirk Electric entered the solar market in 2008 and since then has been awarded over 40 utility-scale solar installations ranging in size from 5KW to 27MW including the largest operational solar PV system in North America at the time of construction. To date, Newkirk has installed over 120 megawatts of solar power; more than 450,000 individual solar panels; and over 15 different brands of modules. Newkirk has provided a truly comprehensive scope of services on these projects which has resulted in a depth of hands-on experience that spans the entire solar development process from design through installation.

Newkirk Electric offers its comprehensive design-build, construction, emergency service and long-term maintenance programs to meet the electrical demands of commercial and institutional facilities. Projects range from service and maintenance work to large design-build structures. Newkirk Electric professional engineers are trained in energy efficiency programs such as lighting retrofits, temperature control systems and other solutions to increase the energy efficiency of your facility.

Newkirk Electric has been a leader in engineering and constructing renewable energy projects for over 40 years. Since the company's foray into renewable power with hydroelectric systems in the 1960's, Newkirk Electric has developed into a key player in this rapidly changing market. Newkirk Electric has engineered and constructed a variety of renewable power projects across the U.S. for utilities, municipalities, industrial customers, and private developers. Many of these projects have been "industry-firsts" including the largest operational solar farm in North America at the time of commissioning, and the first digester in the U.S. to generate both electricity and pipeline grade natural gas.

Newkirk Electric's dedicated Service Division offers comprehensive electrical service and troubleshooting, as well as long-term maintenance programs for a wide range of electrical applications. Newkirk's Service technicians complete a rigorous four- to five-year training program, and are state-licensed electricians. So projects are completed right the first time, saving time and money in the long run. Newkirk performs service work for all types of facilities from small projects, to large-scale ones.

Newkirk Electric and its wholly owned subsidiary, Theka Associates, have been providing comprehensive engineering solutions for power, industrial and telecommunications clients for over 35 years. Today, Theka is a leading independent engineering resource whose design and consulting services include systems planning, design outsourcing, process control, startup and testing, construction management, energy conservation analysis, and control systems/software integration.
