And, it's also proven that traffic accidents decrease on well-lit roadways. Our experts can plan your lighting requirements, from a single security light to an entire shopping center. We're as close as your phone. Contact Customer Service at 1-800-479-6034 for details on options available for your lighting requirements.

In 1937, a group of dedicated and visionary men in our area made a survey among farm families to determine their need for electrical service. Much time and energy was spent to obtain applications for service and right-of-way pledges. The excitement ran high and the coming of electricity to the rural area was the conversation topic for group gatherings. After much hard work and many long hours spent in travel to and from Washington, D.C., Mitchell EMC incorporators were informed that the loan application was approved and the Charter was granted in the fall of 1937.

Thank you Mitchell EMC for all the long hours and hard work you have put in the past couple of days! Because of you, we now have power after being out for 37 hours!

The best linemen and crew around! Thank you all for how quickly you always respond and for how long you will go until we all have power back! Always appreciated!
