This course was created as a joint collaboration between the IBEW 7th District and NECA's 5th District and consists of 16 three-hour modules where Foremen and Journeymen participate in an action-learning atmosphere of teaching and discussion focused on industry best practices. You must be a licensed electrician but No classroom teaching experience necessary and No degree necessary. Code Update Classes are temporarily being held at the Meeting Hall on Nine Mile Road from 6pm - 9pm. Holding these classes in a large room will allow for social distancing.

The Richmond Electricians' Joint Apprenticeship Training Commitee (RJATC) was created nearly 74 years ago as a joint training program between the Atlantic Coast Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Associationa (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local Union 666, aimed at training the best electrical workers the industry has to offer. The RJATC is part of the largest apprenticehsip and training organization of its kind in the United States, the electrical training ALLIANCE (ETA), which has trained over 350,000 apprentices to journey worker status through local affiliate programs throughout the country.
