This is 2" copper pipe that froze and burst last week.
We do have calls of burst pipes coming in pretty steadily. Take care and listen for sounds of running water. Keep those emergency numbers on stand by incase you need your meter shut off. Collect some extra water for drinking and flushing incase your pipes do freeze.
Crawlspace homes, close the vents around the outside of your home ASAP! Most calls coming from these type homes right now, are because of this! We will continue to keep you updated when we are seeing patterns like this.
We are seeing a high volume of calls with freezing pipes in homes that are built on a slab, or concrete foundation. Take special care out there folks, preventive is your best bet. Now would be a good time to collect some extra water incase you do freeze.
