For over 10 years Hardy Fence has served the Fence and Gate industry in Fort Worth, Arlington and Dallas, TX. During this time we developed strong in-house Fence, Gate Fabrication and installation capabilities and purchased two Commercial Fence Fabrication shops in both Fort Worth and Dallas, to support the entire metroplex area. A Security Fence is only as good as its weakest component. In this case the Gate is where all traffic is allowed into the facility. Security Gates are the biggest exposure to theft and liability as they are a moving system with mechanical parts that can fail if they are built or designed incorrectly. We lost a bid several years ago and after the job was completed the General Contractor called me up and asked if I could rebuild his gates from scratch. This is a lesson you don't want to learn the hard way.
While Custom built Iron Fence is, more durable, and built from much heavier material which makes it more secure, it needs to be maintained regularly. A light touch up every 3 to 4 years is necessary to prevent rusting. If this isn't done, the fence will need to be sand blasted to recoated with a rust converter in some areas, primed, and painted every 10 years or so. Personally, we like the heavier gauge material of Wrought Iron and feel it enhances the overall durability of the fence and security of your property.

Hardy Fence Metal Framed Gates are all built in our custom facility and are held to a consistent spec based on size and weight of the Gate. Metal Framed Gates are used as Frames for wood faced Swing Gates, Walk Gates larger than 42, Double Gates, and wood faced Slide Gates. Metal Framed Gates are critical for keeping large wood faced gates from sagging, cupping and warping. All these characteristics are important if you're trying to keep a dog in the back yard or if you'd like the gate to shut or even if you'd like to keep the gate from dragging.

Chain Link Fence, may be the standard in Security Fence, but in my opinion, is only practical where crooks or people you don't want to get in or out don't have the appropriate tools to cut the fabric. Chain Link Fence will work well in a memory center, or probation center, low security prison or a drug rehabilitation center but is not what I'd consider a good deterrent of theft or suitable Security Fence in the 21st century. Hardy Fence Automatic Swing Gates range from nine to sixteen feet wide and six to eight feet tall. Most of our Slide Gates are much larger typically ranging from twenty to forty feet in length easily weighing over 1000 lbs. It takes a substantial operator to reliably move these larger swing and slide gate structures. Over the years we developed a relationship with Liftmaster and try to use their products exclusively. Liftmaster has been a respected household name for many years. Liftmaster is a solid well respected company with a reputation for quality, dependability, and sleek designs that will compliment any gated entrance.
For over a decade Hardy Fence has been building Slide Gates in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Hardy Fence has a custom Fabrication facility and Custom Iron Fence facility which allows us to purchase material by the 18 wheeler load, in 24' sticks. This Iron Material is typically red primed and baked at the factory. We then store the material inside in our climate controlled facility, on 12' racks, until it is used in a Custom Iron Fence or Iron Gate or Fabrication Project. Hardy Fence uses Digital 252 Millermatics, with Argon Gas, for precise welds through the backside of the material insuring a weld that is stronger than the material.
Hardy Fence has been building Commercial Handrails for a decade. We have built many Commercial Handrails including the Four Season Resort, apartment complex remodels as well as various local city projects. Hardy Fence builds all handrails in one of our fabrication facilities to our or your specification. Whether your goal is to add character to your commercial property or bring it up to code we're here to help. Handrails are required on all ramp runs rise greater than 6 or stairs with a rise of 1:20 or greater.
Why does Western Red Cedar smell so good? It's a natural oil containing a Phenolic Acid. This Acid deters insects and fungi. Western Red Cedar is less dense than other soft woods creating a dimensionally stable outside building material. Did you know the Phenolic Acid in Western Red Cedar is known to react to a galvanized nails. The evidence of this is the unsightly dark streaks which runs from the nails down the pickets on a fence using these two incompatible building materials. However, this is only the surface of the issue.
Most City Construction Ordinances have specific codes regarding fences for swimming pools and spas. Generally, the codes require the pool or spa to be completely surrounded by a code-approved barrier. These requirements are intended to provide protection against potential drowning by restricting access to pools and spas. Hardy Fence is familiar with local codes and will assist you in building the right type of barrier system for your pool. Please note that in most surrounding cities, when the walls of the house are used as part of the barrier, any doors providing direct access to the pool or spa must satisfy specific barrier requirements.
Hardy fence will build a custom gate suitable only for an estate or multi-million dollar home. These gates can be custom drawn, reproduced, or built from blueprints of Architects or Builders. Hardy Fence Estate Gates feature custom scroll work, hand hammered steel/iron, baskets, twisted metal, and custom weaves and fabrication.
