Always a concern is the presence of brown rot, a fungus that is very common along Colorado's Front Range. Brown rot normally hides itself in the core of the wood where it can maintain the moisture level necessary for life and uses your wood for a source of food. Poorly constructed decks often accelerate the growth of brown rot. If found early a replacement of the affected board can extend the life of your deck. Refinishing and maintaining your wood is our specialty and gives us the most satisfaction, when we take a weathered deck and turn the gray wood into a deck you envision. Exterior wood surfaces are exposed to a variety of harsh elements including UV rays, moisture, and foot traffic. Damage to the three main components of wood (Lignin, Cellulose, Hemicellulose) depends on either cleaning or sanding or both will be needed for the proper preparation for your deck. The first procedure is removing the dirt from the wood surface utilizing a cleaning agent followed by a low pressure rinse with water resulting in a clean surface.
Composite decking is a low maintenance product, with a wide range of colors grades and finishes, and is becoming a popular choice for decking. Some Composite manufactures use recycled products to offer eco-friendly composites - lowering environmental impacts. Composite products have a wide range of material warranties and some are now offering a labor warranty on the coverage of fading, scratching, and staining among other details to consider. Not all composite decking materials are created equal.

I had an issue that I failed notice after the final walk through and upon reaching out to Keith he had Russ was out there that day fixing it. My family is very happy with our new deck.
