Our residences are personal reflections of who we are and where we feel most comfortable. Good lighting is universally recognized as one of the most important elements we can use in creating the space that we call Home. No matter what the scale of the project is, deliberate attention to the best practices in lighting can transform the built environment into an optimal balance between practical and aesthetic sensibilities. We can and do, literally, "paint" the architectural canvas with light, bringing the illuminated environment out of the darkness.
No sooner do I post my concerns with new "smart" lighting products then I discover this, that confirms them!
Does anyone else see a problem with this? Computer companies have a difficult enough time caring for customer's security. Giving that over to a lighting manufacturer, to me seems fraught with issues. How can an installer guarantee that someone's network won't be broken into or hacked when they don'.
I love this display cabinet. The bottom shelves have hidden, angled downlighting; the top two shelves have hidden, angled up lighting; the two vertical openings have a single puck light at the front of the niche. To me this creates an innate visual tension between the up and down lighting that is.
In the middle of an aim, adjust, and focus. Still a long way to go but it's really starting to take shape! Thank you Niall Buckley, Tim Smith, and the rest of the Spectrum guys. Kirk Welton is helping us in pulling this together for a weekend party. Ramses and his crew have been so helpful!
Another wonderful evening of aim, adjust, and focus. Many thanks to the hard work of Sherry Morse Interior Design and Rick and Michelle Toschi of Toschi Construction for the logistics, labor, and support. Those beautiful palms finally look amazing in their majesty!
