The pictures below show examples of a structural problem. There is small horizontal crack in the middle of this block wall, but the more critical problem is the shearing between the first and second course. As you can see in these 2 examples, the moisture starts at, or near the top of the basement wall. The moisture is causing the paint to peel and efflorescence to occur in the mortar. These 2 photos are good examples of a bowing foundation wall caused by pressure from the outside of the foundation.

After emigrating from Italy in 1969, Adelio DiFranco worked for a local contractor for several years. In 1976, he started his own company, Adelio's Electric Sewer Cleaning Company. In 1985 Adelio purchased his first sewer jet (or hydro jet), which is used to clean mud and debris and to cut stubborn tree roots inside downspout drains, drain tiles, footer drains, and sewer pipes. Business started gravitating towards the Heights neighborhoods on the east side of Cleveland. Shaker Heights and Cleveland Heights are great communities to work in, and neighbors have always recommended our services to one another.

When sewers and drains get clogged, we send an experienced service technician to the property with the best equipment on the market today. Each van is equipped with no less than 4 sewer snakes for different sized drains and applications, sewer cameras and camera locators. The first step is to clear the blockage. We will use the correct size snake, and change out the cutter heads as needed to clear the blockage. The sewer camera can then be inserted to confirm that the blockage has been cleared and removed from the sewer system, and breaks, cracks, or settling can be found and located using the transmitter and locator.

We work directly with several commercial properties and property management companies to handle their plumbing repair needs on a recurring basis. Plumbing repairs are performed for apartment buildings, single-family and multi-family homes all over Northeast Ohio. As requests come in, we dispatch one of our experienced plumbers to the job site to diagnose issues. Homeowners or property managers will be advised of service costs prior to work being performed. We just wanted to share how pleased we've been with Adelio's service over the years.

When cleaning a sewer isn't possible, or reoccurring issues require a sewer or drain replacement, we can dispatch one of our experienced crews to make necessary repairs. Typical sewer repairs require replacing clogged or broken vitrified clay pipes, and installing PVC. Most residential sewer lines are 6 inches in diameter, and can be anywhere from 2 feet to 10 feet deep. To replace sewer lines, we will lay plywood down next to the trench, excavate and pile up soil on the plywood, replace the pipes and cover the pipe with gravel, and fill the trench with the excavated soil.

Sewer and drain problems in commercial settings can be more challenging and time consuming if you don't have the right equipment. We help reduce our commercial client's downtime so they can get back to production quickly. We just wanted to share how pleased we've been with Adelio's service over the years. Our company was founded on the principle of doing things the right way. When it comes to basement waterproofing, that means that we excavate along the foundation and install premium waterproofing products. Situations will be diagnosed individually and recommendations will be made accordingly. If we can clear out gutters and downspouts to reduce basement seepage, that's what we will do.
