Founded in 1947, Rochester Colonial is a third generation family-owned business with over 100 employees dedicated to serving the window and door needs of Greater Rochester and beyond. Our customers include tens of thousands of homeowners as well as homebuilders, general contractors, businesses, and institutional customers ranging from colleges and universities to hospitals, churches, school districts, and many more. With over 200,000 square feet of facilities, a fleet of over 50 vehicles, an in-house installation and service team (no subcontractors) and a wealth of experience, we are the region's one-stop resource for windows and doors.
Rochester Colonial is a family owned business that is now three generations strong. Started in 1947 as a two-person storm window manufacturer, the company was purchased by Salvatore "Sam" Gionta in 1960 and has been owned by the Gionta family since. Sam, with the help of his wife Niki, worked tirelessly and soon brought on Sam's brother Vince and sister Rose. From that small nucleus the company continued to grow and in the late 70s and early 80s the second generation came on board: Mark, Paul, Steve, Michael, Phil and Sam ("Sammy").
We are always happy to accept an invitation to visit your home and give you a free estimate. In turn, we invite you to visit ours. We offer two large, beautiful showrooms that display a large selection of life-size windows, entry doors, patio doors, storm doors, awnings and retractable screens in picturesque settings. So before you buy from a company that only offers you a table-top sample or a showroom with a limited selection, come by our Jefferson Road or Lyell Avenue showrooms and see, touch and compare.
Upstate New York is notorious for drastic and random changes in the temperature and forecast. To meet these demands, Ultrex fiberglass resists expanding and contracting to protect the integrity of your home. It is designed with a slim profile that maximizes your views and amount of light coming into your home. Perfect for more daylight and never missing a moment in the yard. Infinity windows were developed to be the most durable window material in the industry. It resists expanding and contracting in any climate so you get a tight, snug fit, that will last.
We have been selling and installing windows and doors since the 1940s. Many of our employees have been with the company for more than twenty years, and our newer employees learn from the best. We offer one of the widest selections of windows, doors, awnings, enclosures, and screening solutions around. Whatever your budget, we are likely to have the solution for your window and door needs.
We have been installing windows and doors for over 70 years. From the simplest to the most complex applications, we will treat your home as if it were our own. Our goal is to leave as though we had never been there (except for your beautiful new windows, doors, or awning, of course!). Our installation manager will visit your home before any work begins to ensure proper measurements for all of your replacements. This ensures a seamless and head-ache free installation process. Performing field service on windows and doors requires specialized training.
We couldn't be happier with the service, installation, and quality of our new windows and door. Andy, Michael, and team were a pleasure to work with through the entire process!
The moment I walked in the showroom I was immediately impressed with their wide selection of patio doors to chose from. Chris Gionta and Steve Trotta greeted me with a warm welcome and were genuinely interested in helping me find the right patio door for my house. They asked all the right questions and based on my answers were able to show me doors with the finishes and features I was looking for. Their knowledge about the products they had available was remarkable and made me feel confident that I was purchasing a well-crafted patio door.
Had Rochester Colonial do a entire apartment complex with new windows, it was 111 units and over 1,100 windows. Not only were they the best price, the windows are great quality and the crew that installed them were awesome! They really are the window experts, i would use them again any day and highly recommend them to everyone! Thanks again :
