Sustainable Resources Center, Inc. (SRC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the cause of Healthy Homes. Our mission is to create healthy and efficient home environments for all residents - both renters and homeowners - in the Twin Cities metro area and surrounding suburbs. Our programs include weatherization, lead hazard education and control, healthy homes education and remediation and training. Our programs include Weatherization; Lead hazard education, risk assessments, inspections and rehabilitation; Radon testing and mitigation; Mold education and remediation, as well as Healthy Homes and building science related training for homeowners and professionals.
The Energy Conservation program will identify the most cost-effective, energy-saving measures for your home. This may include installing insulation, reducing air infiltration, performing heating tune-ups and modifications, and even replacing appliances for energy efficiency and safety, when appropriate. This is a free program if you qualify. Through this program, grants are available to eligible homeowners and rental property owners to replace lead-painted windows in pre-1978 housing.
